Helen Osieja has worked as an instructor at the tertiary level and taught several subjects. She worked for almost 15 years in Germany and has lived and taught in Sweden since 2008. Among the subjects she has taught are international trade and logistics, intercultural communication, and advanced language courses. She is an experienced lecturer, researcher, and writer. She also worked at Upgrades Education teaching businesspeople who have specific knowledge needs, such as English for Business and Economics, Legal English, English for Tourism, International Trade and Logistics, and Intercultural Communication. Helen has participated at several international conferences on education where she has presented her academic articles.

Helen Osieja has also worked as an interpreter between business partners of different nationalities. Cultural misunderstandings, which cannot be quantified, can make a business transaction fail.
Helen Osieja published her dissertation Economic Sanctions as an Instrument of U.S. Foreign Policy- The Case of the U.S. Embargo against Cuba in 2006. The dissertation is available at amazon.com, among other marketplaces.
