Areas of expertise
Her areas of expertise include international trade and logistics, corporate social responsibility (CSR), business ethics, international human rights and responsible supply chains. She has supervised numerous bachelor’s theses addressing CSR, ethical challenges, responsible procurement and the social responsibilities of companies operating in global markets.
Helen’s current work focuses on independent research related to responsible supply chains, including supplier due diligence, labour standards, human rights and the reliability of information provided by suppliers. Her approach is research-based and involves examining information critically and comparing supplier claims with independent sources.
Her background includes extensive teaching and research in international business and related fields, as well as professional training for executives. She has presented research at international conferences and has worked as a moderator in academic and professional settings.

Helen Osieja has also worked as an interpreter between business partners of different nationalities. Cultural misunderstandings, which cannot be quantified, can make a business transaction fail.
Helen published her dissertation Economic Sanctions as an Instrument of U.S. Foreign Policy- The Case of the U.S. Embargo against Cuba in 2006. The dissertation is available at amazon.com, among other marketplaces.

Helen has also worked as AI trainer for the last 2 years- filtering content and checking facts for companies like Outlier and Mindrift. While generative AI such as ChatGPT and Gemini are great tools, they must be used with care, as their information is not always up-to-date, reach false conclusions due to a lack of verifiable facts, and even hallucinate.
My Vision
I firmly believe that success does not have to come at the expense of others. Life is not a zero-sum game in which one person’s gain necessarily means another person’s loss. The era of predatory capitalism is gradually giving way to a more responsible approach to business, just as outdated ideologies built on social division have lost much of their appeal.
Around the world, countless examples demonstrate that capital and labour can work together to create value for everyone involved—business owners, employees, customers, suppliers, and local communities—while also respecting the environment. Ethical business practices and responsible trade are not only possible; they are essential for building long-term prosperity. Companies that foster fair partnerships throughout their supply chains create sustainable value for all stakeholders.
Today’s consumers expect more than high-quality products and services. They also want to know how those products are made and under what conditions. Businesses that disregard workers’ rights, exploit vulnerable populations, abuse animals, or damage the environment increasingly face reputational risks, consumer backlash, and even organized boycotts. Acting ethically is therefore not only a matter of principle- it is also a sound business strategy and a prerequisite for long-term economic success.
In the twenty-first century, companies are no longer simply producers of goods or providers of employment. They are influential social actors with significant responsibilities toward society and the planet. Their decisions can contribute either to sustainable development or to social and environmental harm, with consequences that extend far beyond national borders.
Ultimately, every business leader has a choice. The way you conduct business defines not only your company’s success but also its reputation, credibility, and legacy. My mission is to help organizations make informed, responsible decisions that create lasting value- for business, for society, and for future generations.
